Actress Sharon Maughan has revealed that she would happily pose nude for a magazine to celebrate the beauty and appeal older women.

The 55-year-old mother-of-three, who stars in BBC’s Holby City, is still in great shape thanks to a simple healthy diet.

“I’d pose nude for Playboy in a shot. I have absolutely no problem being naked. I’m happy with my body,” she tells Closer magazine. “When I was younger I turned down roles if it meant having to take my clothes off.

“Now I think ‘Screw it’. Ironically, as an older women I definitely have few insecurities.”

Sharon has been married to Waking the Dead actor Trevor Eve for 27 years and credits him for giving her confidence to make the bold claim.

“He makes me feel really good about myself. I’ve always felt loved. He’s very supportive and I definitely feel sexier now than when I was younger,” she adds.
